Visiting Honduras

When you visit Honduras be sure to go to Bay Islands.

When you're in Honduras, be sure to keep your belongings safe.

When you come to Honduras be sure try Posol. Posol is a traditional drink.

When you come to Honduras be sure to eat baleadas. Baleadas are a traditional food made of a flour tortilla, refried beans, cheese, eggs, and cream.

When you visit Honduras be sure to visit Copan Ruins and have some "Sopa de Caracol". It's like snail soup.

Thank you so much for the travel tips. I love it when we can learn about a country from people who live there. And I love that you are an English class contributing to our site! Your English is very good.

Your travel tips also made me fondly remember our trip to Honduras... but it was years ago. Your suggestions made me realize we didn't spend as much time there as we should have. We went to the Copan Ruins. We loved that. I would love to go back because archeologists have discovered so much more there through the years.

We never did try Sopa de Caracol. It is indeed a snail soup... but just so you know, I think it would be better to say it is a Conch Soup or Conch Chowder. This would be an easy mistake to make when you're learning English... and trust me, when I'm speaking Spanish, I'm never sure I've used the best word. (Most English readers would think of snails as those little things that you hate to see in your garden.)

We did try baleadas, and I agree, everyone should try them.

I was happy to learn about Posol or Pozol as a traditional drink. I had to look that one up... it's a drink make of cornmeal, water and sugar, right? We did try the soup called Pozole or posole. I guess there are different ways to spell it.

And your first suggestion... visiting the Bay Islands was another one we missed.... so yes, after getting your travel tips, I think we really should be visiting Honduras again in the future.
